"Bead Therapy" with ZMakesBeads

Wild Goose Chase and ZMakesBeads present "Bead Therapy," a workshop intended to give participants the creative power to express their feelings while making unique wearable art. The materials used are semi-precious stones and other natural jewelry materials. Semi-precious stones have been appreciated for generations for their unique beauty, healing and grounding properties.
The workshop will be very interactive, teaching the basics of beaded jewelry making. Each participant will create two pieces of beaded jewelry to keep, and have the opportunity to purchase extra materials if desired.
Wine and light refreshments will be served, included in the class fee.
Participants will also receive a special 20% discount on their purchase during the event.

Instructor Bio: | Zangar Freeman of ZMakesBeads "ZMakesBeads L.L.C. is a black-owned veteran-owned small jewelry business I officially started in 2018 but began conceptualizing over ten years ago when I started beading and selling jewelry. In my art, I use semi-precious stones and other natural materials to create unique necklaces, bracelets, and chokers. When someone buys one of my pieces, they are getting "a piece of me, worn by you" which is my brand's tagline and rooted in my culture. When a customer purchases and wears a ZMakesBeads piece, they receive original designs that have come about from my artistic view on life, inspiration from daily experiences, and a sense of togetherness. Through my business, I can transmit the essence of collective beauty that I experience in others through jewelry crafting. Growing up in a collectivist culture allowed me to view the world as one body whose beauty and joy lie in its togetherness which informs how I create designs for my pieces." |
